Instagram Followers Price in India — What ₹ Per 1,000 Actually Means
Why one panel quotes ₹40 per 1,000 and another ₹400 for the same-looking thing, what the cheap tier is actually leaving out, and how to read a per-1,000 rate before you compare two sellers.
Instagram followers in India are sold per 1,000, and the spread between sellers is real — the same-looking listing ranges roughly tenfold. The gap is almost never markup. It is retention, refill cover and delivery pacing. A rate with no refill window shifts the cost of normal drop-off onto you, which usually makes the cheaper listing the more expensive one per follower that survives.
The price question has a frustrating honest answer: the number moves, and any article quoting a fixed rupee figure is telling you what something cost on the day it was written. What does not move is the structure of the price — and once you can read that, comparing two Indian sellers takes about thirty seconds.

How the per-1,000 model works
Everything in this market is quoted per 1,000 units. A rate of ₹X per 1,000 means:
- 500 followers costs ₹X ÷ 2
- 5,000 followers costs ₹X × 5
- The rate does not change with quantity here — the total is linear, so there is no volume tier to negotiate and no "bulk discount" that turns out to be a different product.
That linearity is worth checking on any seller. A panel whose per-1,000 rate drops sharply at 50,000 units is usually not being generous; it is routing large orders to a cheaper, lower-retention source.
Why the same listing ranges tenfold
Three factors, and only one of them is visible on the price tag.
Retention. The accounts behind the cheapest tier have minimal history and get removed in platform cleanups faster. You are not buying a different-looking number; you are buying a number with a shorter half-life.
Refill cover. This is the big one. A listing with a 30-day refill means the seller absorbs normal drop-off. A listing without one means you do. Two rates that look 3× apart can be identical in real cost once replacement is priced in — and the cheap one can end up higher.
Pacing. Batched delivery over hours costs more to run than dumping the full quantity in minutes. It also looks like organic growth rather than an obvious vertical line, which is the entire point of buying it.
