Merge PDF

Combine two or more PDFs into a single file. Arrange them in the order you want and merge; pages are copied exactly, and your documents never leave your device.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Choose or drop two or more PDF files.
  2. Arrange them with the arrows; the page count of each file is shown so you can check the total.
  3. Select Merge. Every page of every file is copied, in order, into one PDF.

Pages are copied exactly as they are: text stays selectable and searchable, links keep working, and nothing is re-compressed or watermarked.

Private by design

Merging happens in your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library. Your documents, often contracts, statements or ID papers, are never uploaded to Boostlix or anyone else.

Common mistakes

  • Password-protected PDFs

Encrypted PDFs cannot be merged until the password is removed. Open the file in your PDF reader with the password and save or print it as a new, unprotected PDF, then merge that.

  • Merging scans that are photos

If your "documents" are actually JPG photos of pages, use JPG to PDF instead: it lets you choose the page size and margins.

Have images instead of PDFs? Use JPG to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine PDF files into one?

Add the PDFs, put them in order with the arrows, and select Merge. All pages of each file are copied, in that order, into one PDF that downloads straight away.

Will the merged PDF lose quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are: text stays selectable and searchable and images are not recompressed.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Remove the password first by opening the file in your PDF reader and saving it again without protection, then merge.

Is it safe for confidential documents?

Yes. Merging runs entirely in your browser; your files are never uploaded to Boostlix or any server.
