OpusClip Pricing in 2026: Free Plan, Credits and What Each Plan Really Costs

OpusClip's Free, Starter, Pro and Business plans explained: what the free plan includes, how credits work, which plan imports Twitch, the real cost per hour of video, and when a cheaper alternative makes sense.

OpusClip has four plans. Free costs nothing but watermarks clips and keeps them for 3 days. Starter is $15 a month and removes the watermark, adds imports from Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom and Rumble, and auto-posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram. Pro is $29 a month and adds Twitch and many other imports, a scheduler and posting to nine platforms. Business is priced on request. Usage is counted in credits, about one credit per minute of video you import, so the real price is roughly $5.80 to $6 per hour of video on monthly billing.

We make Boostlix Clipper, which finds the moments worth clipping in a long video and exports them with captions. Free trial, no card needed.

OpusClip is the best-known AI clipping tool, and its pricing page looks simple: Free, $15, $29 and Business. What you actually pay depends on credits, which plan imports from where, and how long your videos are. Here is the full picture.

How credits work

OpusClip's pricing page does not list credit amounts on every plan, so these figures come from third-party guides by Castmagic and Creatify, both checked in August 2026 (both sell competing tools):

  • One credit is about one minute of the video you import. A 45-minute podcast uses about 45 credits, whether you keep 3 clips or 20.
  • Monthly credits: about 60 on Free, 150 on Starter and 300 on Pro (3,600 a year on yearly Pro).
  • Expiry: credits on monthly plans are reported to expire after a period, and yearly credits last the year.
  • Extras such as posting to some platforms can use credits too.

Always check the current numbers in your account before you plan a month's work around them.

What it really costs per hour of video

Using those credit amounts:

PlanPriceVideo a monthCost per hour
Starter (monthly)$15about 2.5 hoursabout $6.00
Pro (monthly)$29about 5 hoursabout $5.80
Pro (yearly, $174)$14.50 a monthabout 5 hours a monthabout $2.90

That makes yearly Pro the cheapest way to use OpusClip by far, if you know you will use it every month.

Which plan do you need?

  • Free: to test whether OpusClip picks good moments from your kind of video. Not for posting: the watermark and 3-day storage get in the way.
  • Starter: for a creator clipping their own YouTube videos or podcasts, a few hours a month, who wants clean exports and simple auto-posting.
  • Pro: for streamers and clippers who need Twitch import, scheduling across many platforms, or more than about 2.5 hours of video a month.
  • Business: for teams and agencies that need custom limits.

The things that catch people out

  • Long streams use credits fast. A single 4-hour Twitch VOD is about 240 credits, close to a whole month of Pro. Trim the VOD to the part you need before importing it.
  • Twitch is a Pro feature. If you clip streams, Starter means downloading and uploading VODs by hand.
  • Credits are spent on the whole video, not on the clips you keep, so a long video with few good moments is expensive.
  • Free clips disappear after 3 days. Download anything you want to keep.

When an alternative makes sense

OpusClip is the right choice if you want posting and scheduling built in, many languages and a team workspace. It is less of a fit if you mostly clip long streams on a budget, because the whole VOD counts against your credits.

Boostlix Clipper is built for that case. Plans are counted in hours of video: Starter is $19 a month for 5 hours and 100 clips, Pro is $59 for 15 hours and 300 clips. On any plan, including the free trial, you can paste a Twitch, Kick or YouTube link and import just a section (for example 1:30:00 to 2:45:00), so only that part counts. Each of up to 30 moments comes with its opening line and the reasons it could work. It does not post for you, has no 4K and is built mainly for English speech, so compare honestly with your needs.

How much is OpusClip per month?

Starter is $15 a month and Pro is $29 a month, as listed on OpusClip's pricing page on 13 October 2026. Business is priced on request. Third-party guides report Pro at $174 a year with yearly billing.

How do OpusClip credits work?

Which OpusClip plan imports Twitch VODs?

Pro and Business. Starter imports from YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Rumble and StreamYard; Twitch is listed from Pro.
